UNIFEM GENDER RESPONSIVE HIV PREVENTION STRATEGIES ROUNDTABLE

St. George’s Grenada, March 11th, 2010 – Representatives from the education, health and social sectors will convene at the National Stadium from 9:00 am on Friday 12th March 2010 to look at gender responsive strategies for HIV prevention.

OAS TO ASSIST IN MODERNIZATION OF GRENADA’S CIVIL REGISTRY

St. George, March 11, 2010 -- The modernization of Grenada’s civil registry (births, deaths and marriages) is expected to get underway this year with technical assistance from the Organization of American States (OAS) Universal Civil Identity Program in the Americas (PUICA), and funding provided by the Government of Canada.

ST.GEORGE’S, GRENADA, MARCH 11th, 2010 _ Prime Minister Tillman Thomas has reiterated his government’s commitment to deepening relations between the Caribbean and Latin America. His comments came against the backdrop of a recent meeting in Mexico of leaders from the Caribbean and Latin American regions to discuss the formation of a body designed to address issues of mutual interests.
