CRIME REPORT
PERIOD: 10.02.10 - 11.02.10
As a result of an operation conducted by Officers attached to Drug Squad, at Brun’s Point Roundabout St. George, vehicle registration # PAB748 owned by Neilson Dwight Samuel, was searched and a black plastic bag with dried plant materials resembling Cannabis was found. Samuel was subsequently arrested and charged for the offences of Possession of a Controlled Drug and Trafficking of a Controlled Drug. He was taken to C.I.D, St. George’s along with the Cannabis where it weighed in at nine ounces. The vehicle was impounded for investigative purposes. Occurred on the 10.20.2010.

ROAD MAINTENANCE WORK ON CARENAGE
St. George’s, February 11, 2010: The public is advised that the Carenage – between the old Cable and Wireless building and the Fire Station – will be closed to vehicular traffic on Friday 12th February, 2010, from 9:00am. This has become necessary to facilitate road maintenance work in the area. The Ministry of Works regrets any inconvenience that may be caused.

Over the past week I watched Grenadians both at home and abroad come out in impressive numbers, dressed in National colours, to celebrate a “free Grenada”. I listened and read various comments made by politicians, ambassadors, journalists, etc.; some with messages of hope, others with their vision for nation building, all spoken with pride.

St. George, February 10, 2010 -- An International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission led by Ms. Nita Thacker of the IMF’s Western Hemisphere Department visited Grenada during February 1-10 to conduct the fifth review of the government’s home-grown economic program supported by an IMF financial arrangement under the Extended Credit Facility (ECF, formerly called the PRGF) and to discuss a successor three-year arrangement.
