GRENADA RELEASES THREE COUP PRISONERS

ST. GEORGE'S, December 18, 2008 --  Three men convicted of killings in a 1983 coup in Grenada that triggered a U.S. invasion walked out of a hilltop prison on Thursday after serving 24 years behind bars.

RGPF ANNOUNCES VENDING ZONES

St. George's, December 18, 2008 -- The Traffic Department of the Royal Grenada Police Force wishes to advise the public that effective Friday December 19th 2008, and until the Wednesday 24th December 2008, the following streets within the city of St. George have been designated vending zones.

LIAT ANNOUNCES FURTHER REDUCTIONS TO FUEL SURCHARGES

St. John, December 18, 2008 -- LIAT is pleased to announce that it will further be reducing its fuel surcharges.  The further reduction of US $7.00 per one-way journey will return the airline's fuel surcharges to Easter 2008 levels – before aviation fuel prices rapidly increased during the summer.

St. George's, December 18, 2008 -- The Mercy Committee, duly constituted under section 73 of the Grenada Constitution, met to consider, pursuant to the judgment of Justice Francis Bell on the 25th July 2007, the sentences of Hudson Austin, Colville ‘Kamau’ Mc Barnett and John ‘Chalkie’ Ventour.
