GEORGE’S, JULY 3, 2009 -- The Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Culture and Sports in conjunction with the Grenada Tennis Association will be staging its Coca-Cola Junior Tennis Tournament from July 4th -11th, 2009. Though matches will be played in the ten and under category on Saturday, July 4, the official opening ceremony is carded for Monday, July 6 at the Tanteen Tennis Court from 9.00a.m. Matches will be played, following the ceremony.

Greater Georgetown, July 3, 2009 -- The time for preparation is past and the moment of performance is here,’ His Excellency Edwin Carrington, Secretary-General of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) said Thursday.
In remarks during a speech at the Opening of the Thirtieth Meeting of
the Conference of Heads of Government of CARICOM at the National
Cultural Centre, the Secretary-General referred to the Grande Anse
Declaration and Work Programme for the Advancement of the Integration
Process signed in Grenada in 1989 and said the need to deepen the
integration process and strengthen CARICOM was today as urgent, if not
moreso, than it was 20 years ago.
