WE NEED TO REBRAND AND RESTRUCTURE THE CARICOM SECRETARIAT
The decision by Dr. Carrington, Secretary General of the Caricom Secretariat to demit office at the end of 2010 is extremely good news for regional governments. The failed July deliberations in Montego Bay could have deeply contributed to Carrington’s decision. The organization of this year’s Carnival was appalling, and please don’t judge the success of Soca Monarch as Carnival. Soca concerts can happen anytime of the year. I am talking about the overall, indigenous festival that was magnificent in the olden days.
