MINISTER MEETS WITH PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS
St. George's, July 21, 2010 -- The Ministry of Education is ensuring that all mechanisms are in place for the roll out of the curriculum changes in the new school year. Education Minister Senator Franka Alexis-Bernardine has been speaking with principals of all primary schools, in keeping with an undertaking to bring all relevant parties up to speed on actions required to facilitate the changes. ADVOCACY TRAINING FOR YOUTH AND COMMUNITY LEADERS
St. George, July 21, 2010 -- Seventeen youth and community leaders from across the Eastern Caribbean will participate in an Advocacy Training Workshop on July 22-23 at the Grenada Grand Beach Resort. The training will be facilitated by the Caribbean Child Support Initiative (CCSI) Programme, and forms part of an advocacy strategy to build the capacities of youth and community leaders to advocate for the provision of quality Early Childhood Development (ECD) and Family Support services throughout communities.
