NEW YORK CELEBRATES GRENADA DAY

New York, July 19, 2010 --
The Caribbean capital of the United States, Brooklyn has played host to the second annual Grenada day which was held at St Andrew’s Park in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn.

Hundreds of Grenadians turned out to be a part of a plethora of cultural activities and to sample the various food and craft products on display which are indigenous to Grenada.

This year’s event was held under the theme, “Celebrating our Cultural Diversity”, and was organized by the Grenada Consulate in New York in collaboration with the recently formed GRENCAP UNITED, an umbrella organization of Grenadian nationals and organizations in the New York metropolitan area.

The organization’s membership was formally presented to Grenadians present by Harold Pysadee.
