DISRUPTION OF SERVICE AT CUSTOMS & EXCISE DEPARTMENT
ST. GEORGE’S, GRENADA, MARCH 04, 2010: The Customs and Excise Department wishes to advise the general public that the department will be holding a general staff meeting today, Thursday, March 4th 2010, at its main office from 2:30 p.m.
As a result the main office will be closed at 2:30 pm today. Additionally, all services, in the other areas (offices) where officers from the Customs Department operate, will be disrupted from 2:30 p.m. in order to accommodate the meeting.
The department apologies for the late notice and for all inconveniences this will cause and wishes to thank you for your understanding.

UNESCO LAUNCHES WOMEN MAKE THE NEWS 2010
St. George, March 3, 2010 -- On the occasion of International Women’s Day (8 March), UNESCO joins forces with international and regional media organisations to launch the annual Women Make the News (WMN) initiative. Under the theme, “Towards Gender Sensitive Indicators for Media: Best practices for gender perspective in media and in media content”, WMN 2010 is intended to initiate a global exchange on the importance and the need for gender sensitive indicators for media organisations.
