The focus of this year's Festival will be a one–day limited over match to be played on Sunday 8 October at Progress Park, Grenville, St.Andrew’s. The organizers of the third Grenada Cricket Classic have announced that the teams are confirmed as follows. For the West Indies: Joel Garner, Gordon Greenidge, Desmond Haynes, Vivian Richards, Ritchie Richardson, Kenny Benjamin, Curtley Ambrose, Jimmy Adams, Courtney Walsh, Rawle Lewis and Junior Murray. And for England: Allan Lamb, Robin Smith, Derek Randall, Chris Lewis, Phil DeFreitas, Mark Butcher, Norman Cowans, Neil Radford, John Lever, John Morris, Peter Such and Rob Bailey.
There will be an added bonus for cricket fans on Sunday 8 October at Progress Park when members of the highly successful Grenada Stanford 20/20 Cricket squad play an exhibition match to lead up to the Classic action in the afternoon. Andre Fletcher, Nelon Pascal, Clevroy Antoine, Devon Smith, Ronald Ettienne, Dennis George and Troy Baptiste will be joined by other special guests to start a memorable day of classic cricket action.
