MINISTER OF WORKS  UNDERTAKES NEW INITIATIVE

St. George, November 19, 2007 --  Minister of Communications, Works and Transport Sen. The Hon. Brenda Hood has taken on a new initiative to visit ongoing government projects under the Ministry’s portfolio to ensure their successful implementation.

This initiative started on Friday 16th November when the Minister and other Ministry officials visited projects in Mahot (pronounced Mahoe), Grand Bacolet, Deblando, Munich, Union,Telescope and Birch Grove.

The Ministry’s team got a first hand view of the ongoing debushing Programme as well as roads, bridges and drainage system enhancement in the parish.

Each week the Minister will be out with her team visiting different areas.  A schedule of these visits will be announced in the media.

Minister Hood is confident that this initiative will keep her current with the many infrastructural developments taking place in the country.
