GOVERNMENT'S ACTIONS COULD ADVERSELY AFFECT THE DRIVE TOWARDS THE CSME
A move by the Government of Grenada to deport a citizen of Guyana without giving any reason for the revokation of his work permit could be one of many signs that regional governments, themselves, are not yet ready for a Caribbean Single Market and Economy.
At a Thursday afternoon media conference, attorneys Ruggles Ferguson and Peter David of Ciboney Chambers, both representing Guyanese Rudolph Holligan explained grave concern over government's alleged failure to comply with the law and the likely impact which this could have on the CSME drive, as well as on Grenadians living abroad.

Immediately following the news conference, unsuccessful efforts were made to reach both the Minister of Labour and the Minister of National Security for rebuttal. Messages were left for both, but as of now, neither call has been returned. (Photos courtesy Carlyle "Pye" Noel)
