GRENADA'S PM CALLS ON GOVERNMENTS TO BE READY
Friday October 20th 2006 St. George-- Grenada’s Prime Minister Dr. the Rt. Hon. Keith Mitchell, has called on Governments in the region to strive to ensure that the Sunset Legislation needed for the hosting of the Cricket World Cup is in place as soon as possible. The Prime Minister was speaking today, after being asked about media reports which suggested that countries of the region would not have the necessary legislation in place for the World Cup.
Speaking about his own country, Prime Minister Mitchell gave assurances that Grenada was well on the way to having the Sunset Legislation passed through Parliament. He noted that the countries of the region had come so far now and had improved their facilities so much that it would be a shame to allow anything to stand in the way of a successful World Cup.
