GRENADA EXHIBITS AT THE CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW
London, March 31, 2008 – This year, Grenada will once again be participating in the Chelsea Flower Show in London, which is carded to run from May 20 through 24.
This will be the team’s 11th exhibit at the show, which attracts approximately 170,000 visitors, and is a sell out each year.
Funded by The Grenada Board of Tourism, it’s main sponsors, and by
Seafreight Agencies of Miami, The Coyaba Beach Resort, Lanwades Stud, The
Horticultural Society of Grenada, and other supporters, the exhibit
showcases Grenada through horticulture, taking advantage of the maximum
media attention generated by the show.
The theme this year is ‘Island in the Sun’ inspired by the 1957 song, and film of that name, which was made in Grenada.
Team members Denis Noel, John Criswick, Cathy John and Albert St
Bernard will join the UK based members to stage the exhibit. They will
be taking up around 70 boxes of Grenada’s choicest flowers, foliage and
spices.
Tickets are already on sale and can be bought on line through
www.rhs.org.uk or at www.grenada-at-chelsea.org.uk Visitors to the
show are strongly advised to purchase their tickets early to avoid
disappointment.
