DESAVARY UPDATES GRENADA ON HIS PROJECTS
St. George, May 5, 2008 -- Developer, Peter DeSavary, has reiterated that there are currently no plans to build cottages along the Lagoon Road in St. George.
An apparently exasperated DeSavary is displeased that there continues
to be a contingency hell bent on sullying his achievements to date in
Grenada and focusing on something that he really can't expand on right
now.
A spokesman for the DeSavary Group explained that there may well be a
time when the Lagoon side development will not occur; then again there
may be a necessity for some light development of a maritime nature; but
it does very much depend on the progress of the current development
overall, Any thought of building along the Lagoon are -- at present --
at the bottom of the list of the works in progress. They currently have
no plans, architectural or otherwise for that site.
Camper and Nicholson, which recently purchased the marine side of the
development announced in April that they own the land and are in
possession of reclamation rights along the waterfront and could
possibly conduct marina-related development in that area. The DeSavary
Group maintains that any such development, if it occurs, would be under
the arm of Camper and Nicholsons with DeSavary's oversight as the
Master Developer. Resident Director of the DeSavary Group has promised
that they are all aware of the concerns, and that whatever happens will
be done sensibly and correctly with the involvement of all.
