CREATIVE DESIGNS SHOWCASES GRENADIAN SPIRIT AT WORK
St. George's, May 13, 2008) – Creative Design and Building Construction Co. Ltd. Company put their talent and innovation on show at a grand ceremony at the Charter Hall, St. George's University on Tuesday May 6th.
Among those in attendance at the ceremony were Prime Minister Dr. The
Rt. Hon. Keith Mitchell and Parliamentary Representative the Hon.
Glynis Roberts. Also in attendance at the event, which drew nearly two
hundred people, was a wide cross section of Grenada's private sector
including hoteliers, bankers, retailers, builders and contractors.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Dr. The Rt. Hon. Keith
Mitchell told the gathering that Creative Design and Building
Construction Co. Ltd. was one of the best examples of Caribbean
Entrepreneurship, and took the opportunity to commend the many gifted
employees of Creative Design, who have made a significant contribution
to the company’s success through their hard work, high standards and
natural talent. In addition, the Prime Minister congratulated and
thanked Creative Design for providing training opportunities that have
strengthened the workforce and renewed the Government’s commitment to
Grenada’s business community to continue and expand the Training
Programme and initiatives currently in place.
Prime Minister Mitchell said that more companies throughout the region
should follow the lead taken by Creative Design with a heavy emphasis
on staff development and training. He further complimented Dr. La
Touche and the entire Creative team for the quality and uniqueness of
their work.

La Touche, Ph.D., H.L. (Hon) presented a video and PowerPoint
presentation entitled "Building in Record Time." These presentations
captured the progressive strides made by the company and highlighted
new and innovative building technologies being used by Creative Design.
Dr. La Touche noted, “Our team at Creative Design is setting new
standards in construction as we attempt to meet the current challenges
facing this industry”.
Dr. La Touche also pointed out that the new building systems being
adopted by Creative Design enables construction to take place in a much
faster period; this coupled with good management and capable, well
trained resources allow for high productivity both for the Company and
their clients. Dr La Touche said “People come to us when they want the
seemingly impossible done or when they want to build something never
built before. I am fortunate to have a great team; a team that keeps
pace and exceeds industry standards. We are redefining building in the
region."
Creative Design is leading the building expansion programme at the St.
George's University and is currently building Grenada's tallest, and
largest building on the SGU campus. Creative Design is also
constructing one of Grenada's largest supermarkets which will be opened
in the summer of 2008. In Barbados Creative Design is involved in the
construction of a luxury condominium complex and a new development of
middle income homes -- both being completed in record time!
