POLITICAL LEADERS TO DEBATE THIS WEEKEND

St. George, July 3, 2008 -- The leaders of three political parties will be assembling this weekend for a last minute debate, less than three days prior to the July 8 general elections.

Political Leaders Dr. Keith Mitchell (NNP), Mr. Tillman Thomas (NDC) and Dr. Francis Alexis (ULP) have all agreed to debate matters of national interest in a 90-minute session which is scheduled to take place on Saturday morning at the Grenada Trade Centre beginning at 10:00am.  The program will be pre-recorded for broadcast on this weekend's edition of Sundays with George Grant beginning at 09:00am on Sunday morning and rebroadcast at 06:00pm on Sunday. 

The format planned will see the three political leaders discuss issues among themselves, with a passive moderating role played by the program's host, George Grant.  This will be followed by an analysis of the debate performed by a panel of media personnel and observers.
