GRENLEC NOW ON THE EASTERN CARIBBEAN STOCK EXCHANGE
St. George, July 16, 2008 -- Grenada Electricity Services Limited has become the 14th company to list its shares on the Eastern Caribbean Securities Exchange (ECSE). The company is the third electric utility in the jurisdiction to do so, and the second Grenadian company.
The listing was marked by a ceremony held at the Grenada Grand Beach
Resort on Wednesday afternoon in the presence of the new Minister of
Works, Hon. Joseph Gilbert, Sen. Joan Purcell, members of the Board of
Directors, FINCOR, the Eastern Caribbean Stock Exchange, GRENLEC's
management and staff, and the media. The ceremony was carried 'live'
by various media outlets, and followed by the company’s Annual Meeting
of shareholders.
With the listing process now completed, shares in this Grenadian
company now become available to interested parties throughout the
region. In 2007, GRENLEC had a gross income of $141.8 million and an
after tax profit of $8.2 million.
The company's shares will trade on the ECSE beginning on Thursday using
the symbol, GESL. A copy of the research report, which was prepared
by National Mortgage Finance Company of Dominica, can be obtained from

broker-dealer, FINCOR.
