DR. ROY HASTICK RECEIVES AWARD FROM ALLIED MEMBERS

St. George, July 22, 2008 -- President, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Grenadian born Dr. Roy Hastick is the recent recipient of a special award honouring his exemplary and dedicated service to the Caribbean Community in the USA by the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO).
The award, which was received on his behalf by Haiti's Ambassador to
the USA Raymond Alcide Joseph and Grenada’s Director of Tourism Mrs.
Jocelyn Sylvester Gairy, was presented on June 24th 2008 during the 1st
Annual Caribbean Tourism Summit in Washington D.C.
According to Mrs. Gairy, “The award is usually given to persons who
have greatly impacted the lives of Caribbean nationals or have made a
significant contribution to Caribbean tourism. Unfortunately, due to
ill health, Dr. Hastick was unable to receive the award in person. I
was therefore honoured to share with Ambassador Joseph in accepting the
award on behalf of Dr. Hastick”.
The Grenada Board of Tourism joins in applauding Dr. Hastick for his achievements and wishes him the very best in the future.
