St. George's, December 3, 2008 -- The Grenada Government is looking to expand and further professionalize the local music and entertainment industry, and also believes they could have major economic benefits for the nation.
In keeping with the government's commitment to moving the industry
forward, it is organising what it labels as a "Creative Seminar on the
Business of Music and Entertainment.''
It will be held this Saturday, from 1 to 7 PM, at the National Stadium in St. George's.
The seminar will be facilitated by five North American-based
professionals, with many years' experience in the entertainment
business.
They are former Sony BMG executives Ivan Berry and Lisa Zbitnew,
international promoter Jonathan Ramos, entertainment lawyer Miro Oballa
and business manager Horace Madison.
Minister of State for Culture, Senator Arley Gill, told a news
conference on Thursday that the five facilitators are coming to Grenada
to share their experience, knowledge and know-how of the entertainment
industry. Listen here.
