ROTARY CLUBS ASSIST ELDERLY IN CARRIACOU

Hilsborough, June 9, 2009 -- Four residents of the Top Hill Senior Citizens Home are now more comfortable, thanks to the Rotary Clubs of Carriacou and Felicity, Trinidad . The four residents were recipients of brand new wheel chairs.

According to President of the Rotary Club of Carriacou , Cosnel McIntosh, this was an effort of the Rotary Club of Felicity, Trinidad , which is one of the youngest clubs in the region. He said Carriacou received fifty of the more than 1000 chairs the club was able to solicit.

The Top Hill Senior Citizens Home, which has fifteen residents, was not the only beneficiary. Two residents of the Hermitage Nursing Home and individual families also benefited from this gesture.
