**The Caribbean Association of Travel Agents (CATA) is a non-profit membership based organization of Travel Agencies from the entire English Speaking Caribbean. Served in various capacities on the executive and other committees; including two terms as President. In the mid to late 1980’s led the negotiations on behalf of the Agents with IATA in the transition from individual Airline Sales Reporting and Settlement to the now functioning Bank Settlement Plan. This was also the era when Computerized Reservations Systems and Automation were being introduced in the Travel Industry in the Caribbean Region; and again was charged with having to deal with the Service Providers and all concerned on behalf of the Association and its members in all the various territories.
