PANORAMA LAUNCH AND BOMB TUNE COMPETITION 2009

St. George's, July 1, 2009 -- The 2009 Panorama Launch and Bomb Tune Competition takes place this Sunday at the Tivoli Hard Court in St. Andrew. The show starts at 5pm and admission is only $10.

As part of the launch, each steelband will play its Panorama tune and one other tune of its choice. The Bomb Tune will then take place. Among the songs featured in the Bomb Tune competition, will be Inspector’s “No place sweeter than home”, Cybert’s “August is the time” and Tangler’s “Callaloo”. This new initiative by the Grenada Carnival Committee and the Grenada Steelband Association is geared toward generating more interest in the pan movement and ensuring an increase in the numbers at panorama. In addition to sweet pan music patrons will be treated to tasty specials on local food and drinks .
