NAVIGATIONAL LIGHTS TO BE INSTALLED IN WINDWARD BAY

HILLSBOROUGH, AUGUST 14th, 2009- In order to ensure the safety of boat owners, fishermen and users of the sea surrounding our islands, the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs through the Grenada Rural Enterprise Project (GREP) has purchased navigational lights which are to be installed in the Windward Bay area, i.e the north-western side of Carriacou.

However, the input of the community in this initiative is critical; and, therefore a consultation is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, August 18th, 2009 at Norman's Disco.

All residents of the islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique are therefore kindly asked to come out and participate in the consultation as government seeks to make the area safer.
