EXPIRATION OF DUTY FREE CONCESSION ON POINT OF SALE SYSTEMS

ST. GEORGE’S, FEBRUARY 24, 2010: The Ministry of Finance reminds the business community that the 50% duty free concession on Point of Sale systems for businesses registered for VAT expires on March 1, 2010.

The Ministry encourages all relevant persons/businesses to take advantage of the opportunity to become VAT compliant.

Application forms can be obtained from the VAT Unit or the Customs and Excise Division.

Please note that applicants will be required to show proof of registration for VAT in order to qualify.
