NATIONAL JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP

St. George, March 13, 2010 -- The nation's top junior athletes will this weekend be vying for selection on national teams to represent Grenada at regional and international junior track and field championships.

The National Junior Athletics Championships take place at the National Stadium today and tomorrow.

About 30 events will be contested on the opening day which begins at 1:00 p.m. Among events in the opening hour are the Under 20 Girls' Shot Put; Under 20 Boys' Javelin and Under 17 Girls' High Jump and Boy's Long Jump and Discus Throw.

Here's an opportunity to see top junior track and field athletes in what could also be a dress rehearsal to Inter-Col Athletics Championships 2010.
