Brooklyn -- Many in New York, Grenada and elsewhere, are deeply saddened by the news of the October 28th passing of Sir Nicholas Brathwaite, former Prime Minister of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique. It can be said that a great light has gone out in our nation, for he was an amazing man and a towering figure in his community. Sir Nicholas was the epitome of honesty, love and community solidarity. He was also a true statesman.

CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF COMMUNITY BUILDING

SPOTLIGHT ON ACHIEVEMENTS

On Saturday, October 15, 2016, Montreal Grenadian community and friends of Grenada, Carriacou and Petit Martinique will come together to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of community organizing and the making of what is now the Grenada Nationals Association of Montreal, Inc. (GNAM)  with a reception at the Holiday Inn, 6500 Cote de Liesse, Montreal.  The Keynote Address will be given by Ambassador Derrick James, Consul General for Grenada in Canada.  He was recently appointed to the Office which is located in Toronto.

DR. KHAN NEDD NAMED NEW TRUSTEE

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – The W.K. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF) announces the election of Dr. Khan Nedd of Grand Rapids, Michigan, as a new trustee on its board of directors. He will join the board on Oct. 1, 2016, bringing the number of WKKF trustees to 10.

PRIME MINISTER'S STATEMENT ON THE DEATH OF SIR DR. LAMUEL STANISLAUS

It was with great sadness that the nation learned of the death of Sir Dr. Lamuel Stanislaus, Grenada's former Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York. He passed away earlier today in New York City at the age of 95.
