GRENADA HOSTS OECS INTEGRATION AND ECONOMIC UNION PUBLIC AWARENESS COUNTRY MISSION

OECS Commission - A technical mission from the Organisation of East Caribbean States (OECS) visits Grenada from September 9th 2014 to meet with and update key stakeholder groups on the progress of OECS Integration and the OECS Economic Union. This mission is a collaborative effort with the Office of Grenada's Ambassador to the OECS, H.E Patrick Antoine.

FULBRIGHT FOREIGN STUDENTS HEAD TO THE UNITED STATES FOR STUDIES

St. George --The final two members of the 2014 slate of Fulbright and Humphrey Fellows for this academic year have been announced by the United States Embassy in Bridgetown, and Grenadian Keane Mark and St. Lucian Halim Ernest will be traveling as Fulbright Foreign Students.  They are the last of six grantees this year who will have their graduate-level studies funded by the U.S. government.

LITERACY AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

International Literacy Day 2014 will be celebrated worldwide on 8 September under the theme Literacy and Sustainable Development. The Day will be "an opportunity to remember a simple truth: literacy not only changes lives, it saves them," explains the Director-General of UNESCO, Irina Bokova, in her message for the Day.
