FORMER GBT STAFF MEMBER RETURNS FROM STUDIES IN AUSTRALIA
St. George -- Ms. Gertrude Duncan, former employee of the Grenada Board of Tourism (GBT) for 21 one years was awarded a scholarship as part of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) Programme from the Australian Government - AusAID. Her last appointment with the GBT in 2008 was as the Quality Assurance Officer, with responsibilities for implementing standards in the tourism industry.
Ms. Duncan was selected from a number of applicants to pursue a Masters of Business Administration in Hotel and Tourism Management at Southern Cross University in Australia. Her commencement of studies in January, 2012 was part of the second cohort of students from developing countries to benefit from the programme.
Having completed her studies on May 10, 2013 with outstanding performances, she is now eager to put into practice the skills developed during her education in Australia.
