MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AND HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT WELCOMES NEW ACTING CHIEF EDUCATION OFFICER
St. George -- The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development has announced the appointment of a new Acting Chief Education Officer, Mr. Elvis Morain, who assumed duties on Monday, March 2, 2015.
Morain's appointment is in succession to Mrs. Andrea Phillip, who will be assisting the Grenada Schools Incorporated's Room to Read Project, for two years.
Morain was previously the principal of the J.W. Fletcher Catholic School. He assumes this appointment with a background in education which spans almost three decades. Morain holds a master's degree in Human Resource Management and Development, with special merit, from the University of Leicester; a bachelor's degree in Education Administration, with honours, from the University of the West Indies and a certificate in Further Education from the T.A. Marryshow Community College, among other certifications related to the field of education.
