COMIC RELIEF, SAYS JOSEPH

Written by on July 13, 2017

Political commentator, William Joseph has described as “comic relief” — the idea of two NNP-aligned old timers running as independents in the next election.

Following the recent pronouncements that Terry Forrester will make a run for the South St. George Constituency and Jocelyn Whiteman for St. David, Joseph questioned whether these gentlemen were seeking “some sort of glory” for themselves, or whether they had the interest of their respective constituencies at heart.

Joseph told the media that Grenada has not shown any appetite for independent candidates, and is doubtful that either Forester or Whiteman has anything new to offer. He is of the opinion that Grenada is at a point where it needs its best people — particularly “among the 40-year olds, and so on,” to provide fresh leadership.

Joseph appears regularly on CHIME FM’s Great debate on Fridays, and also pens a weekly column, Sticking a pin on.”
