St. George -- Police are investigating the circumstances which led to the death of a man believed to be in his early fifties which occurred on the Constantine public road.


On Sunday, 23rd December 2012, at about 2:30 AM, officers from the Criminal Investigation Department St. George responded to a report at Constantine St. George. On arrival they found a man with a laceration to his throat and two other wounds to the left chest and shoulder.  The victim was carried to the General Hospital in St. George's where he was pronounced dead on arrival.


Michael Roberts is believed to be in his early fifties with no fixed place of abode.


Meanwhile, a twenty eight year old resident of Snug Corner, St. George is in Police custody assisting the Police with their investigation.


A post mortem will be conducted on the body on Monday 24th December, 2012 to determine the cause of death.
