KURT FELIX MAKES IMPRESSIVE START IN DECATHLON AT WC IN BEIJING

Kurt Felix continues to show determination and is now in third position in the Decathlon event at the IAAF World Championships at the Bird's Nest Stadium in Beijing, China.

Felix, Pan American Games silver medallist, puts himself in medal contention with 3518 points after four events to sit behind world record holder and leader Ashton Eaton of the United States (3643) and Pan American Games champion Canadian Damian Warner (3587).

With one more event remaining on the opening day, the Grenadian will be looking for maximum points from the 400 metres scheduled for 8:20 p.m. Beijing Time (8:20 a.m. ET).

PRIME MINISTER MITCHELL MEETS WITH CRICKET REVIEW PANEL IN BARBADOS

GEORGE -- There is a need for recommendations on the governance arrangements of West Indies cricket, which would be transformative and lay the foundation for structural changes that would eventually lead to better performance of the team.  The words of chairman of the CARICOM Cricket Governance Committee, Dr. Keith Mitchell as he met in Barbados with the Cricket Review Panel established to review the state of governance of West Indies cricket.
