SGU STUDENT WINS TRIP TO CARRIACOU

St. George - Medical student, Mr. Stephen Petrou won a trip to Carriacou for himself and three friends by uploading pictures of Grenada on Instagram with the hashtag #FollowGrenada. He entered the competition under the Grenada Tourism Authority's Follow Grenada campaign which specifically targets the six thousand students of St. George's University (SGU).

NEW U.S. REGULATIONS ON TRADE AND TRAVEL TO CUBA

On January 15, the United States government announced the implementation of measures announced by President Barack Obama on December 17, 2014, eliminating some restrictions on trade with Cuba, and travel to the country by U.S. citizens in certain categories. A preliminary reading of the regulations issued by the Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control indicates that these changes modify the enforcement of some aspects of the blockade.

MINISTRY OF TOURISM AND GTA CONDUCT SITE VISITS

ST. GEORGE -- An island tour in the rain would be unheard of for most persons, but on Tuesday, January 13, the Minister for Tourism, other Ministry officials and Heads of Department of the Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) braved the inclement weather to conduct site visits to four of Grenada's tourist attractions: the Annandale Waterfalls, the Grand Etang National Park, the Sulphur Springs and Bathway Beach.
