AKIM FRANKS PLEADS GUILTY TO DEATH OF CANADIAN
Written by George Grant on October 28, 2017
Akim Frank, the man charged for causing the death of Canadian Linnea Veinotte in 2015 has pleaded guilty to a charge of manslaughter.
Frank was accused of striking Veinotte with an SUV and then ditching her body some distance away. The 36-year old mother of two boys was out walking her dog at the time, and her decomposed body was not found for almost a week.
The prosecution accepted Frank’s plea since manslaughter carries the same maximum life imprisonment penalty as the original charge of non-capital murder.
Sentencing is scheduled for December 7.
