COMMUNITY FORA FEATURING POLITICAL CANDIDATES RE CODE OF POLITICAL CONDUCT
Written by Judy Williams on February 12, 2018
In keeping with the commitments of the Code of Political Conduct, the Civil Society Organisations will be embarking on a series of community fora featuring the various candidates offering themselves for office. The fora will provide an opportunity for candidates to engage in debates or discussions with their would-be constituents and each other in a civil, respectful and cordial manner.
The first forum will be held at the Anglican primary school, St. Patrick today at 5:30 pm. In St. John, the forum will be at the Anglican Pastoral Center on February 20th at 5:30 pm and in St. Mark’s at the Resource Center upstairs the Victoria Day Care Center on February 21st at 5:30 pm.
Candidates from political parties representing the respective constituencies including the New, National Party (NNP), National Democratic Congress (NDC), Grenada Empowerment Movement Inc. (GEM), People Progressive Movement (PPM), The Progress Party (PP), and the Grenada Progressive Movement (GPM) are being invited to participate.
These forums provide an important opportunity for the public to raise questions, offer suggestions and make recommendations in a mature and respectful manner.
