The Grenlec Community Partnership Initiative has contributed $120,000 to Grenada Schools Inc. for Strengthening the Foundations of Early Literacy in Grenada. The project includes the construction of a library for each primary school in Grenada, furniture, a collection of books, and staff training. Grenlec’s partnership supports the ongoing construction of the library at Calliste Government School.

“Grenlec has come at the right time, at the right place. Collaboration is important. Public-Private Partnerships are important. We couldn’t do all 56 libraries by ourselves. Hence, we approached Grenlec to do one library for us…making more than 200 children happy.” -Andrea Phillip, Chief Executive Officer, Grenada Schools, Inc.

Since 1994, the GCPI has provided grants of over $22 million to hundreds of organisations throughout our nation to support education, health, culture, sports, and social services.
