Following the devastation caused in 2004 by Hurricane Ivan, Grenadian parliamentarians will have a new home at Mount Wheldale as of Thursday. Since that fateful day, sessions of both the House of Representatives and the Senate have been held at the Grenada Trade Center.

However, at 10:00 am on Thursday, a new state-of-the-art facility which was funded by the governments of Australia, Mexico and the United Arab Emirates, will open its doors.

Visiting dignitaries will include Trinidad and Tobago’s Prime Minister, Keith Rowley, St. Vincent and the Grenadines Prime Minister, Ralph Gonzalves and CARICOM’s Secretary General, Irwin LaRocque
