PERMISSION TO PLAY AMPLIFIED MUSIC DURING CARNIVAL PERIOD

With the recent launch of Spicemas 2018, the Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) wishes to inform all persons desirous of hosting any Carnival related-activity that a Carnival Festival License must first be obtained from the Spicemas Corporation before applying to the RGPF for permission to play amplified music.
Persons are advised that absolutely no permission will be granted without the Spicemas Corporation License, which must be produced along with the application to play amplified music.
According to the Spicemas Corporation (Amendment) Act 8 of 2017, no person shall hold a carnival festival or activity at any time during the carnival period unless the person obtains a license.
This notice remains in effect until the conclusion of the carnival period 2018. The Carnival period according to the Act commences on the date of the launch of carnival by the Corporation and ends on the Sunday after the second Tuesday in August.
