Travel industry stakeholders and shareholders from across the globe converged in London to exhibit and conduct business to business meetings at World Travel Market on November 5, as they each promote their destination’s desirability and unique selling point. Their aim? To entice a share of this multi-trillion dollar industry, with a global economic contribution reportedly in excess of 8 trillion USD per annum.

With the opportunity to transact business and showcase Grenada’s tourism basket, the Grenada Tourism Authority had a new Pure Grenada stand, fittingly designed to be aesthetically harmonious with the country’s reputation for natural, unspoiled beauty.

The GTA team; C.E.O, Patricia Maher, Marketing Manager, Francine Stewart & Sharon Bernstein of the UK based marketing support team, were all present during the event to conduct meetings and attend events specifically geared towards improving Grenada’s standing and leverage in the global tourism market.

Publishers of Lime & Dine Grenada, Carriacou & Petite Martinique, AllyDay Creative Projects were present to support Grenada’s stand at the WTM, with the latest edition of their publication, highlighting visitor experiences and local ‘on island’ businesses.

“This is an invaluable experience — both visually and intellectually. The seminars and sessions occurring throughout the day offer insights into successful marketing models and mediums, and how they have been implemented by various entities throughout the global tourism market. From a creative perspective, I’m enjoying a real visual feast, as innovation and creativity are an important part of what gets you noticed in a forum of this magnitude,” said creative director, Alleyne Gulston who was attending the event for the first time.

The Grenada Tourism Authority was supported at the Pure Spice Stand by; Blue Horizons Garden Resort, Calabash Hotel, Kalinago Beach Resort, Ministry of Tourism, Mt Cinnamon Resort & Beach Club, St. James Tours & Travel, Silver Sands Resort, Spice Island Beach Resort, True Blue Bay Resort, during the show’s duration, 5-7th November, 2018.
