RE-ESTABLISHING & ESTABLISHING TRADE UNION TIES IN THE UK

President General, Comrade André Lewis is currently in the United Kingdom attending to trade union business. Cde. Lewis is attending the 5th UNI Global Union World Congress taking place in Liverpool from June 17 – 20, 2018. UNI Global Union represent represents over 20 million workers in over 500 unions from over 150 countries.
The UNI World Congress is expected to address a number of issues affecting workers globally such as, peace, democracy and human rights, work place violence, future world of work and the sustainable global economy.
Lewis would also visit London where he is expected to meet with Trade Unions and other organisations including the Trade Union Congress, Unite the Union, Fire Brigades Union, University & College Lecturers’ Union and the Caribbean Labour Solidarity.
He has undertaken the visit to London with the objective of re-establishing and establishing the much needed trade union ties within the British and Grenadian Trade Union Movements as we seek to build and strengthen international ties.
Lewis is expected to return to the State on July 2, 2018.
