STATEMENT ON THE SENDING HOME OF IMANIS RUMOR
Written by George Grant on April 25, 2018
The Ministry of Youth Development, Sports, Culture and the Arts dispels the rumor that the Imani Trainees, especially batches 4 and 5 would be going home very soon. The Imani programme was designed to empower young people through the acquisition of marketable skills that will render them employable.
Over the last five years the programme has engaged 3500 young Grenadians in five batches; had a 90 percent success rate in the attainment of CVQs and NVQs; and secured permanent employment for over 400 trainees.
The Ministry therefore, categorically denies this rumor and will continue to engage Grenada’s young people meaningfully.
